If you are faced with an error code displayed on the control panel of your inflatable spa, you can first try to fix it yourself. In this article you will find the list of error codes that may appear on your spa.
You can still find solutions on the Intex.fr website, using an intuitive online questionnaire. In any case, I invite you to contact Intex Customer Service, who will be able to help you resolve the error codes.
Why is my spa displaying error codes?
The Intex inflatable spa is an electronic device. Like any electronic device, it can be subject to operating problems. In addition to electronic problems, the spa contains water, which in itself can cause anomalies.

E90 code on the Intex Pure Spa inflatable spa
Meanings
The E90 code can occur:
- In very hard water.
- When the motor or electronic board fails.
- During a clogged filter.
Solutions
Fix E90 Error Code:
In general
- Remove the filter cartridge housing and clean the intake grille.
- Then turn the spa off and on again.
- Start filtration.
If the problem is specific
OR
- Contact Intex Customer Service to change the motor or electronic board.
OR
- Clean the filter regularly or with a filter cleaner.
Code E96 on the Intex Pure Spa inflatable spa
Meanings
The E96 code can occur:
- During a system error.
- When the sensors of the technical block are too sensitive.
Solutions
Fix E96 error:
In general
- Turn off the circuit breaker (GFCI/RDC).
- Shade the technical block (umbrella for example).
- Wait for the internal temperature of the block to decrease (approximately 30 minutes).
- Turn on the circuit breaker and restart a filter cycle.
Suggestions:
Do not install the engine block in direct sunlight or provide a shading system.
Never turn off the circuit breaker and unplug the power unit unnecessarily.
If the E96 error code persists
- Disconnect the technical unit.
- Unscrew the cartridge holder inside the spa and put the black caps (included) on the intake and outlet grills.
- Unscrew the technical block, remove it from the spa and empty it by turning it upside down.
- Reinstall the block and remove the black caps.
- Reconnect the technical unit to the socket and set the circuit breaker to On.
- Filtration begins.
OR
- Re-prime the pump by running it without the filter for a few minutes.
Code E94 on the Intex Pure Spa inflatable spa
Meanings
The E94 code occurs:
- When the water temperature is too low.
Solutions
Fix E94 error:
- Do not use the spa when the ambient temperature is below 4°.
- Increase the water temperature using the control panel.
Code E98 on the Intex Pure Spa inflatable spa
Meanings
The E98 code can occur:
- During a system error.
- When the water is too hot (55°).
Solutions
Fix the E98 code:
- Press the RESET button on the control unit (located on the side).
- Release when you hear a beep.
E95 code on the Intex Pure Spa inflatable spa
Meanings
The E95 code looks like:
- When the water temperature is 50°.
Solutions
Fix the E95 code:
- Lower the water temperature using the control panel or add cold water to the pool.
OR
- Turn off and unplug the spa control unit.
- Once the water has cooled, turn it back on.
E97 code on the Intex Pure Spa inflatable spa
Meanings
The E97 code occurs:
- When the footfall protection is dry (the system believes that there is no water in the spa).
Solutions
Fix the E97 code:
- Disconnect the plug and reconnect it.
- Turn on the circuit breaker.
FINE code on the Intex Pure Spa inflatable spa
Meanings
The END code occurs:
- When the pump ran for 72 hours without bringing the water up to temperature, it went into hibernation.
Solutions
Solve the END code:
- Start a cycle by pressing the Filtration button to reactivate the pump and heating function.
